The Nebraska cross country teams were honored for their success in the classroom this week when 13 current and former student-athletes earned recognition on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Fall Honor Roll. Athletes must earn a 3.0 grade-point average to qualify for the award.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
Sixty-eight percent of members of the Nebraska cross country teams were recognized, including nine of the 13 women’s athletes. Six of the Husker women earned perfect 4.0 grade-point averages during the fall semester, including: Joslyn Dalton, Ari Goldstein, Michaela Lenihan, Betsy Miller and NCAA All-American Kayte Tranel. Former Husker Eric Rasmussen also earned 4.0 honors for the Nebraska men.
Seven Huskers (six freshmen, one sophomore) were named to the Big 12 Honor Roll in their first semester
Overall, Nebraska had 235 student-athletes named to the fall honor roll, including 35 who produced perfect 4.0 GPAs during the fall semester.
