Columbus, Ga. - The 18th-ranked Nebraska softball team will have to wait for the chance to extend its winning streak to seven straight games, as the Huskers were rained out Saturday at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. Action is scheduled to resume Sunday morning, weather permitting.
Nebraska was scheduled to play Florida and the game was first postponed with the hope of a later start, but continued rain forced the cancellation of all of the scheduled games on Saturday.
Two schedules have been set on Sunday, a one-game option and a two-game option, depending on field conditions. In the one-game option, Nebraska will face Florida at 10 a.m. (central). In the two-game option, the Huskers will take on the Gators at 9 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. game with second-ranked Tennesee.
