Meet Information
- Entry Procedures: Each team must declare its roster/entries no later than 10 a.m. (CST) on Thursday, Feb. 23, one day prior to the meet.
- Admittance to the meet: All athetes, coaches, managers, trainers and media must have meet credentials in order to enter the facility. Athletes, managers and coaches credentials will be available on Thursday evening, Feb. 23, at the 6:30 p.m. dinner/meeting. Trainers credentials will be available on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the indoor track training room from Nebraska track and field trainer Lisa Grzeskowiak. Media credentials will be avaible through Nebraska track and field sports information contact Andy Anderson on Thursday, Feb. 23, in 116 South Stadium or Friday and Saturday at the north entrance to the track.
- Track Availability: The Bob Devaney Sports Center Indoor Track will be available for teams on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 3-8 p.m.
- Competition Warm-up: Warm-up is allowed in the concourse area of the Bob Devaney Sports Center beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Field event participants will be allowed to warm up on the infield, after you have checked in with your event official.
- Infield Usage: The infield is off-limits to all coaches, trainers, managers and athletes not competing in a field event that is in progress. Marshals will strictly enforce this area.
- Chalk: The use of marking chalk is prohibited in the facility.
- Check-In: Clerking specifics for track athletes will be provided in your coach's packet. Field event athletes are to report to the head event official no later than 45 minutes prior to your event. Women in the weight throw and shot put events are not allowed to enter the infield and go to their event until the men's competition is completed. Men in the high jump are not allowed to enter the infield and go to the high jump area until the women's competition is completed.
- Weigh-In: Weights and shots are to be checked in to the Weights and Measures Certifying Official at the infield weighing area 90 minutes to one hour prior to the start of the event. As dictated by Article III. Section C, Number 1, Letter M, Item 6, of the Big 12 indoor administrative manual regarding throwing implements; "Only soft shell weights, or those that restrict bounce, may be used at the championship. The games committee has the discretion to withhold any throwing implement that may endanger anyone associated with the orderly and reasonable continuation of the meet."
- High Jump and Pole Vault Increments: Will be available here Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m.
- Bib Numbers: All athletes will wear numbers. Numbers will be worn on the front (back for pole vaulters and throwers).
- Spikes: The use of 1/4" pyramid spikes will be strictly enforced.
- Preferred Lanes: Sprint races: 4-5-3-6-2-7-1-8; 200-400: 5-6-4-3
- Team Assigned Seating: To be drawn by lot. Your designated area will be posted on the west wall of the indoor track arena.
- Locker Room Facilities: Dressing and shower facilities are available in the locker rooms located on the second floor at the north end of the indoor track. You are responsible for your own valuables. Towels are available.
Team Parking: All team vans and buses may park on the street north of the BobDevaneySportsCenter. You will find your parking permit in your coach's packet.
- Awards: All final events conducted on Friday (Women’s Pentathlon, Men’s & Women’s Weight Throw, Women’s Pole Vault, Women’s Long Jump, Men’s Long Jump, Men’s & Women’s 5,000m Run and Men’s & Women’s Distance Medley Relay) will have their award presentations on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. Please, all athletes report to the awards platform at this time for your presentation.
