Lincoln ? Five current and former Nebraska gymnasts earned recognition from the conference for their academic accomplishments by being named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Fall Honor Roll on Thursday.
Former Huskers Jamie Saas and Carrie Gloudemans, who achieved perfect 4.0 grade-point averages during the fall semester, led the impressive contingent of women’s gymnasts on the list. Juniors Stephanie Carter and Dani Millis earned spots on the honor roll for the fifth consecutive semester, while junior Michele Zabawa was included for the fourth time in her career.
The Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who earned a 3.0 GPA or higher during the previous semester. Overall, Nebraska had 235 student-athletes named to the spring honor roll, including 35 who produced perfect 4.0 grade-point averages during the fall semester.
