Parsons Named Big 12 Gymnast of the Week

Dallas ? Sophomore Emily Parsons was named Big 12 Gymnast of the Week for the fourth time this season after winning the all-around (39.55) and two event titles in No. 7 Nebraska’s victory over sixth-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday night. The St. Charles, Mo., native was recognized for the sixth time in her career.

Parsons set a career high on balance beam (9.925) en route to the title, as well as the floor exercise crown (9.90). She added a second place finish on vault (9.90) and placed fourth on bars (9.825). Parsons has won a total of 29 individual titles in her Husker career.
