The Husker bowling team hopes to claim its fourth straight title at the Arkansas State Invitational on Feb. 4-5. The event will be held at the Jonesboro Bowling Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Five other teams will compete in the tournament including Arkansas State, Wisconsin-Whitewater, Alabama A&M, Southern University and the 2005 NCAA runner-up, Central Missouri State.
Last year, Amanda Burgoyne took first place overall at the invitational with a 234 average.
"With the difficult start we had in Las Vegas last weekend, the team is looking to avoid a repetitious occurrence," Coach Bill Straub said. "Beyond that very important goal, we have trouble in the past with many of the teams competing in Arkansas. We look forward to the high level of competition."

Sophomore Lindsay Baker placed third at the Brunswick Coca-Cola Invitational in Las Vegas to help the Huskers claim their third consecutive tournament title last weekend. Baker, averaging 194, led the Huskers to a 9-1 record over the two-day event.
