Huskers Ranked No. 12 Nationally

Lincoln ? The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team is ranked  No. 12 nationally this week in the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by average team score, also ranks NU third in both the South Central region and the Big 12 Conference after a loss to Utah, 195.575-193.00, last Friday at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.

Individually, sophomore Emily Parsons is the top-ranked vaulter in the nation with an average of 9.925, and is the No. 4 all-arounder (39.317). Parsons is also rated fourth on balance beam (9.858), while junior Stephanie Carter is tied for fourth on vault (9.875).

The Huskers play host to No. 10 Missouri this Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Competition is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
