Lincoln- The Nebraska men’s golf team emerged in the sixth spot in the latest Central District ranking, released earlier this week, marking their highest place in head coach Bill Spangler’s five-year tenure.

“This is a great time for Nebraska men’s golf to be proud of the steps we have taken to establish our program as a competitive team on the national level,” Spangler said. “I’m excited about the opportunities we have this season and look forward to our first tournament.”

Oklahoma State heads the Central District ranking, followed by Tulsa, Colorado, Missouri and KansasState. Rounding out the rankings are Oklahoma, Kansas, Wichita State, Illinois State and Drake.

The Huskers begin their spring season by traveling to San Antonio, Texas for the UTSA Intercollegiate on February 20.
