Parsons Named Big 12 Gymnast of the Week

Dallas ? Sophomore Emily Parsons was named the first Big 12 Gymnast of the Week for the 2006 season on Tuesday, earning the honor for the third time in her Husker career.

 

Parsons finished second in the all-around with a 39.225 at the Super Six Challenge. She tied for the vault title (9.95), placed third on the floor exercise (9.75) and tied for third on balance beam (9.775). Parsons is currently tied for first nationally on vault and is fourth in the national all-around standings.
