Super Six Challenge to Air on ESPN2

Baton Rouge, La. ? The No. 8 Nebraska women’s gymnastics team’s season-opening meet, the Super Six Challenge at LSU on Friday, Jan. 6 at 6 p.m., will be shown on ESPN2 by tape delay. The six-team meet will be aired on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 1:30 p.m. (CST), with a field that includes the Huskers, as well as No. 4 Alabama, No. 7 LSU, No. 11 Iowa State, No. 15 Auburn and No. 16 Missouri.

Live stats for the event will also be available on LSU’s official website, LSUsports.net.   

The Huskers return to competition after finishing sixth (196.425) at the NCAA Championships in Auburn, Ala., last April. NU returns three of its four All-Americans from the 2005 season, including four-time honoree Emily Parsons, who earned first-team recognition on floor exercise and was named to the second team on vault, balance beam and the all-around.

Defending Big 12 Conference uneven bars champion Michele Zabawa is also a key member of the Nebraska lineup, having received second-team All-America status on vault (2004) and bars (2005), as well as second-team uneven bars honoree Desire’ Sniatynski.
