LINCOLN, Neb. (Dec. 8, 2005) -- The Nebraska Huskers’ Friday match in the NCAA Division 1 Women’s Volleyball Tournament’s Sweet 16 regional against the UCLA Bruins will be broadcast live statewide on NET1 and in high-definition on NET-HD Friday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. (central).<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
The match between the number one seeded Huskers and the number 16 seeded Andy Banachowski-coached Bruins will be telecast from <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Omaha’s QwestCenter with sportscaster Kevin Kugler and former University of Nebraska All-American volleyball standout Kathi Wieskamp calling the action.
“NCAA Regional Volleyball Championship” is a production of NET Sports, Nebraska’s Home for Sports, for broadcast on NET Television. Joe Turco is executive producer with Brad Pace as producer/director.
Friday’s video feed of the NET broadcast will also be shown for free on Huskers.com and on NCAAsports.com.
If Nebraska advances to the regional final, that match will be shown on ESPNU (Ch. 609) live at 5 p.m.
