Tip off for the men’s basketball game between Nebraska and UAB on Saturday, Dec. 3, has been changed to 3 p.m. CST, the Nebraska Athletic Department announced Monday.
The game was originally scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. at the Devaney Center, but has been moved ahead four hours to allow Husker fans a chance to attend both the men’s basketball game and second round of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament in Lincoln.
"We have a great number of fans who want to be able to attend both athletic events and after working with the UAB officials, it was decided that a move to 3 p.m. would work for both basketball teams," said Executive Associate Athletic Director Marc Boehm. "We are fortunate that the NCAA frequently allows us to host national events, and we want our fans to be able to enjoy the No. 1 Husker volleyball team and still be able to see what will be a great matchup between the Huskers and Blazers on the basketball court."
The No. 1-ranked Husker volleyball team will be playing host to the first- and second-round matches on Friday and Saturday, with the final match of the weekend set to get underway at 7 p.m. at the NU Coliseum.
As usual, doors to the Devaney Center will open 90 minutes prior to tip off (1:30 p.m.). For information on ticket availability, contact the NU Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-8BIGRED or log onto Huskers.com.
