Nebraska forward Chelsea Aubry scored three points and grabbed two rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench, but it was enough to prevent the Canadian National Team from falling to Brazil 76-64 on the third day of the FIBA Americas Championship in Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic on Friday.
Aubry, a 6-2 junior from Kitchener, Ontario, added one steal while hitting 1-of-3 shots from the field and 1-of-2 free throw attempts. As a team, Canada hit 54 percent of its field goal attempts, but committed 20 turnovers, compared to just 12 turnovers by the Brazilians.
Canada will face Brazil on Saturday in the fourth day of tournament action in the five-day competition.
