Fans Turn Out for Meet-N-Beat the Huskers

The Nebraska Soccer team met approximately 400 of its youngest fans at Thursday's annual Meet-N-Beat the Huskers night at the Nebraska Soccer Field. Fans who attended the event were treated to free pizza and Pepsi products, while the youngsters in attendance got to meet the 2005 NU squad, participate in drills and seek autographs from all 24 Huskers.

Several stations were set up around the field where kids could participate in skills competitions with members of the team and Nebraska coaches. The 2005 soccer schedule poster was also handed out at the event and gave kids the opportunity to meet each of the Huskers as they signed their poster. Thursday marked the 11th annual Meet-N-Beat the Huskers event.

This year's Meet-N-Beat marked the first time the event had been held on the Nebraska campus, where NU will play its home games this season for the first time in program history.
