Gordon Named Baseball America's Player of the Year

Durham, N.C.- Nebraska third baseman Alex Gordon was named Baseball America's Player of the Year on Thursday when Baseball America's College All-America teams were announced.   Gordon is the lone repeat first-team All-American on the squad, and is the lone representative of the Big 12 Conference on the first team. Texas shortstop Seth Johnston and relief pitcher J. Brent Cox joined Missouri pitcher Max Scherzer on the second team.   Gordon and the Huskers will take on Arizona State Friday evening at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
