Nebraska Game Notes:
**-- The Hawks Field crowd of 8,662 for the NU-Creighton contest was the largest in school history, surpassing the 8,569 fans on hand for the NU-Richmond Super Regional contest in 2002.

**-- Nebraska will advance to its fifth NCAA Regional Championship Game in the past six years.  The Huskers have won regional titles in three of their previous four appearances during that span. 

**-- The Huskers improved to 20-9 in NCAA Tournament action and 14-2 in NCAA Regional competition since the 2000 season. Big 12 Coach-of-the-Year Mike Anderson has led the Huskers to a 5-2 mark in NCAA Regional play in his three seasons as NU's head coach.

**-- Freshman Andy Gerch went 2 for 4 with four RBIs to pace the Husker offense against the Bluejays. Gerch has driven in 11 runs over his past four games, including a career-high six RBIs in a Big 12 Tournament semifinal game. He also drove in the Huskers' only run in the Big 12 title game.

**-- Nebraska improved to 11-0 this season when Johnny Dorn has started on the mound. The Huskers have recorded 82 runs in Dorn's 11 starts, an average of 7.45 runs per game.

**-- Dorn increased his NU freshman record for wins to 11 and moved into a tie for third on the NU single-season chart. Dorn's 11th victory tied Shane Komine, who had 11 victories in 2000. Komine also leads the list with a school-record 14 wins in 2001, while Troy Brohawn had 13 wins without a loss in 1993.

**-- Left fielder Jesse Boyer went 0 for 4 in the game but reached base on three occasions and scored three times. Boyer's first two plate appearances resulted in reaching base on errors while he reached in the fifth on a fielder's choice.

**-- Boyer set a season high with three runs scored, bettering his previous mark of two runs scored six times this season, the last time against Northern Illinois on May 17.

**-- Second baseman Jake Opitz roped a Teddy Ogilvie pitch over the right field fence for his third home run of the season. It was his first home run since facing Texas Tech on May 13, and his second round tripper at home. His first home run of the season came against South Dakota State at home on March 13.

**-- Nebraska scored 10 runs in its first contest against Creighton this season, a 10-2 win at Hawks Field, but had scored just six combined runs in their last two match ups with the Bluejays, both in Omaha.

**-- NU improved to 27-5 on the season when scoring in first inning and 11-2 when its opponent scored in first frame.

Creighton game notes:
**-- The game was delayed 53 minutes prior to the top of the third inning due to severe weather and lightning. The game was also delayed 50 minutes in the top of the seventh inning.

**-- Creighton dropped to 17-3 this season when scoring in the first inning.

**-- Creighton’s three errors were its most since making three miscues on May 7 vs. Northern Iowa.

**-- Creighton is now 0-4 in NCAA Tournament play against current members of the Big 12.

**-- Johnny Dorn hit four batters in the game. He has now hit nine batters this year, seven of which have been CU players

**-- Tony Daniel had a single in his final at-bat to extend his hitting streak to a career-long nine consecutive games.

**-- Creighton is now 1-5 when allowing 10 runs or more.

**-- Creighton was hit by five pitches tonight and have now been beaned 100 times this season. They are the 10th team in NCAA history to get hit by 100 pitches or more in a season.

**-- Creighton entered the game 35-1 when posting more hits than their opponent this season. The Bluejays outhit the Huskers 11-9 on the night.
