NCSU-UIC Notes

UIC game notes:
**-- UIC finished the season with 38 wins, one off the school record set in 2002 and 2003.

**-- Ted Rosinski reached base in each of his first three at bats and finished the game 3 for 4 with a run and RBI to lead the Flames. Rosinski also went 3 for 4 with three runs and an RBI in the opener.

**-- The Flames stole two bases on the day (Larry Gempp Jr. and Jeff Grimley) to improve their total to 95 steals this season, the most since the 1995 squad produced a team-record 112 thefts.

NC State game notes:
**-- The Wolfpack improved to 33-0 this season when out-hitting opponents. NCSU had 18 hits on the game while UIC pounded out 11 hits.  The Pack is also now 20-3 when scoring at least six runs.

**-- NC State, which was making its third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, improved to 28-38 in tourney play, including 9-11 under Coach Elliott Avent.

**-- Starting pitcher Andrew Brackman went just 4.0 innings, his second shortest start this season. Brackman, who was making his seventh start of the season, allowed five runs -- four earned -- on seven hits. It was his highest total of hits allowed this year, and the most runs he has given up this season. Previously, Brackman had allowed just nine runs -- six earned -- over nine appearances.

**-- First baseman Aaron Bates led the Wolfpack attack with four hits, going 4 for 6 on the day with a run and RBI. It was Bates' third four-hit game of the year.

**-- NC State recorded 18 hits on the game, marking the 37th time this season they reached double-figure hits in a contest. It was the Pack's most hits in a game since the season opener, when they recorded 21 hits against Delaware State.

**-- The Wolfpack improved to 2-13 on the season when trailing after eight innings.
