The announcement of the <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Pittsburgh contest is the second 2005 Nebraska game scheduled to be televised by ABC. The Huskers’ traditional post-Thanksgiving Friday tilt with Big 12 North rival Colorado is set for a 2:30 p.m. CST national telecast on Friday, Nov. 25.
This marks the second consecutive year that the Nebraska-Pittsburgh game has been televised by ABC. Last year’s game at Heinz Field, a 24-17 Husker victory, was televised nationally. The Huskers and Colorado have played each of the past 12 seasons on ABC, with all of the games since 1996 played on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Previously, Nebraska announced that its Sept. 3 opener against Maine will kick off at 6 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
Nebraska is awaiting word on possible television scenarios for its Sept. 10 game against Wake Forest in Lincoln, while the remainder of the game times will be determined six to 12 days in advance, pending television announcements.
