Husker and Creighton NCAA Regional Baseball Games Broadcast Live on NET1

LINCOLN, Neb. (June 2, 2005) -- Live coverage of every NCAA Regional Baseball game involving the Nebraska Huskers or the Creighton Bluejays will be telecast live from Hawks Field at Haymarket Park in Lincoln on NET1 and in high-definition on NET-HD as part of NET Sports, Nebraska’s Home for Sports.

Sportscasters Kevin Kugler and Adrian Fiala will call the action for all Husker games broadcast, with stadium reports provided by Larry Punteney.

The coverage begins with the top seeded and Big 12 Conference champs Nebraska taking on the Horizon League champs Illinois-Chicago Flames at 1 p.m. CT (noon MT).  The action will continue at 7 p.m. CT (6 MT) when the Missouri Valley Conference champs Bluejays tangle with the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

NET1 and NET-HD will pre-empt programming throughout the Regional competition as necessary in order to provide live coverage of every game involving Nebraska or Creighton.

“Because NET1 is the only statewide television network in the state, we are very pleased to be able to provide all Nebraskans the opportunity to watch their home state teams compete in the NCAA Regionals,” said Steve Graziano, NET manager of television program services.

“NCAA Regional Baseball” is a production of UNL Television for broadcast as part of NET Sports. Joe Turco is executive producer with Jim Carmichael as producer/director.

NET1 and NET-HD are part of NET Television, a service of NET (Nebraska Educational Telecommunications). For a complete program schedule, visit NET’s Web site (netNebraska.org) and click on Television.
