Lincoln --- The Nebraska football team moved inside the Cook Pavilion for the second of 15 spring practices Friday. The Huskers worked out for nearly two and one-half hours in preparation for Saturday's first practice in full pads.
"It was a great practice," said Defensive Coordinator Kevin Cosgrove. "There is a familiarity with the system now and a lot of energy on the field. The kids have a great attitude and are really running around and having fun."
The Huskers return to practice Saturday in the first full contact drills of the spring. Nebraska will work out from 9:40 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Following the practice, the team will host the first Husker Youth Experience at Memorial Stadium. The clinic for children ages 8-13 will feature instruction from Husker players and coaches. More than 500 children have pre-registered for the event.
