College Station, Texas - Junior Amie Buoy earned the highest NCAA Zone Diving finish of her career with a fourth-place showing on the three-meter dive in College Station, Texas on Friday.
Buoy’s score of 468.80 was her third-highest score on the three meter this season, scoring higher only at the Minnesota Invitational and the Big 12 Championships.
The Edmonton, Alberta, Canada native was outscored by only Azul Almazan and Anna Keiss of Houston, and Mari-Michelle Musselman of Texas A&M. Musselman was the only Big 12 diver to defeat Buoy, as the Husker junior finished ahead of eight other Big 12 competitors, including Texas A&M’s Rosie Whiting, the reigning conference champion on both the one and three meter.
Buoy will continue her run for the NCAA Championships when she competes on the one meter at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
