Red Zone Ready to Road Trip

The student section at the Bob Devaney Sports Center ? the Red Zone ? is making the trip to Manhattan for the Huskers' final regular-season game. As a way to thank the students for their outstanding support of the men's basketball program, the Nebraska athletic department offered Red Zone members a chance to see a road game for just $10.

Red Zoners who signed up for the trip will get doughnuts and juice from Krispy Kreme for breakfast, lunch in Manhattan provided by Valentino's and a ticket to sit in the Red Zone at Bramlage Coliseum when the Huskers go for their fourth straight conference win.

The Red Zone will make the trip on charter buses. Check-in will be at 8 a.m. and the buses will leave South Stadium at 8:30 a.m.

The trip was announced on Wednesday night before Nebraska's 70-55 victory over Colorado. Three bus loads were filled before mid-afternoon Thursday, and overall more than 160 Red Zoners are registered to make the trek.

The Huskers and Wildcats tip off at 12:47 p.m. Saturday. Nebraska will be looking to earn at least a No. 7 seed next week's Big 12 Tournament with a victory in Manhattan. The game will be seen in Nebraska as part of the Big 12 package (Channel 4 in Lincoln; Cox 2 in Omaha; and KIIT in North Platte).
