<?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Lincoln ? Four University of Nebraska baseball games will receive both statewide and national coverage as NET Sports (formerly NETV) and College Sports Television (CSTV) announced their 2005 baseball television broadcast schedules Friday.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
The 2005 broadcast schedule, which includes Big 12 match-ups with Baylor, Missouri and KansasState, will be carried live on NET-1 (Channel 12 in Lincoln) and also shown in high-definition on NET-HD (Ch. 112 on Time Warner Cable in Lincoln and Ch. 812 in Omaha). The four-game package begins with a non-conference tilt against Iowa on April 6 with a first pitch slated for 6:05 p.m.
In addition to the state-wide coverage, all four games will receive national exposure, as the broadcasts will be shown nationally on College Sports Television (Ch. 610 on DirecTV and available on cable systems around the country). Nebraska’s four games on CSTV is a quarter of the entire 16-game schedule shown on the national network.
Nebraska’s contests against Iowa, Missouri (May 7) and Kansas State (May 21) will be shown live nationally, while the Baylor game on April 23 will be shown on a delayed basis at 7 p.m. (central).
In addition to Friday’s announcement, other Husker baseball games could be picked up as part of Fox Sports Net’s Big 12 baseball schedule along with any road or neutral site games that can be carried locally.
