Wassung Earns MPSF Gymnast of the Week Honors

Nebraska all-arounder Jason Wassung was honored as the MPSF co-Gymnast of the Week following his performance against the Oklahoma Sooners on Feb. 13.  He shares the distinction with Oklahoma’s Jamie Henderson.

 

In just his sophomore year with the Huskers, Wassung has already made a name for himself as Nebraska’s top all-arounder, earning a career high 52.9 in the event.  The Lincoln native also boasts a title on the vault (9.60).  This season alone, Wassung has posted record marks on every individual event, topping some events multiple times.

 

Wassung is the first Husker to earn MPSF Gymnast of the Week honors this season.  The recognition is also the first of his career.
