Parsons Named Big 12 Gymnast of the Week

Dallas, Texas ? Freshman Emily Parsons was named Big 12 Gymnast of the Week for meets from Feb. 1-7, the conference office announced Tuesday. Parsons earned the honor for the first time in her career.

 

The freshman from St. Charles, Mo., placed second in the all-around with a season-best 39.40 in Nebraska’s win over Oklahoma. Parsons won her second vault title and fourth floor title of the year. Her 9.95 on vault and 9.925 on floor matched season-highs as did her 9.825 on balance beam.
