Former Nebraska player Sarah Sasse was one of 10 women selected to participate in the Golf Channel's, The Big Break III: Ladies Only, reality show.
A graduate of Nebraska and a Lincoln native, this accomplishment is one of many in Sasse's golf career. She was the first Nebraska women's golfer to receive first-team All-American honors in 2003. In addition she was the Big 12 player of the year, Scholastic All-American, and April Big 12 player of the month, all also acheived in 2003.
Sasse holds the individual school record for the 36 and 54-hole scorew with 138 and 209 strokes respectively.
Golf Channel's popular reality show, The Big Break, will showcase for its third season an all-female cast. The season premiere was Tuesday, Feb. 8.
Following a nation-wide search, The Big Break, found 10 of the best unknown female golfers. For 10 weeks golfers will compete, and each week one will be eliminated, in an attempt for the grand-prize, an invitation to select LPGA tournaments.
