Pluhowsky Moves into Second Place at AMF World Cup

Singapore ? Husker bowler Shannon Pluhowsky (Phoenix, Ariz.) moved into second place on Wednesday. at the 40th annual AMF World Cup.  Pluhowsky has averaged a 223.17 through 24 games.  She trails Shalin Zulkifili of Malaysia by 192 pins with three days of competition left.  Zulkifili, who has held the first place spot for two days, is averaging a 231.17 with a pinfall of 5,548.  Liza Del Rosario of the Philippines holds the third place spot with an average of 221.58, only 38 pins behind USA’s Pluhowksy.

 

Friday, the top 24 participants will bowl eight more games.  The field will then be cut to the top-eight in each of the two groups.  The best-of-three games match play quarterfinals are set for this Saturday, with the semi finals and finals concluding on Sunday.
