The Nebraska football team resumed its preparations for Friday’s matchup with Colorado with a two-hour and 15-minute workout on Sunday afternoon.
Coach Bill Callahan sent his team through the workout in full pads on the grass practice fields north of Memorial Stadium on a cool autumn afternoon in Lincoln. The Husker players had the previous two days off from practice, after three consecutive full-pad practices last week.
The Huskers will continue their preparations for the Colorado game with full practices on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, before a short walk-thru on Thanksgiving afternoon.
Nebraska and Colorado will be meeting on the Friday after Thanksgiving for the ninth consecutive year. The Huskers have a 6-2 edge in the series since it has been moved to the post-Thanksgiving date, including a 31-22 victory last season in Boulder. Three of the past four meetings between the schools in Lincoln have been decided by five points or fewer.
