Sophomore Brittany Timko was one of three midfielders chosen for the Soccer America National Team of the Week after scoring two goals and recording three assists in two games last weekend.

Against <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Eastern Illinois, Timko finished with three assists in the Huskers’ 4-0 win. Her three assists were just one shy of the school record.
In Nebraska’s 3-0 win over Purdue, Timko celebrated her 19th birthday by scoring twice. She finished with seven points in the Huskers’ two games last weekend.
For the season, Timko leads the team in assists (four) and points (eight) and is second in goals scored (two).
Timko and the rest of the Nebraska soccer team play host to Pacific at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Abbott Sports Complex.
