Radevica Does Not Advance in Triple Jump

Athens - Former Husker Ineta Radevica finished 12th in her flight and 19th overall among 33 competitors in the women's triple jump competition on Saturday in Athens, Greece.

Radevica's first jump of 14.12 meters turned out to be her best. Competing for her native country of Latvia, Radevica missed qualifying for the finals by just four places, as the top 15 advanced to the finals.

Radevica is not finished at the Olympic Games, however. She will compete in the preliminary round of the women's long jump competition on Wednesday, Aug. 25 at 1:20 p.m. (CDT).
