Alshammer Finishes Fourth in 50 Freestlyle

Athens, Greece -- Former Husker Therese Alshammar turned in a solid performance Saturday, finishing fourth in the women's 50-meter freestyle event. Alshammer, who is competing in her third straight Olympics for her native Sweden, finished in a time of 24.93, as just 0.04 seperated the second, third and fourth place finisher. Inge deBruijn won the gold medal with a time of 24.58 second.
