Dunagan Claims State Match-Play Title

Lincoln - Husker Andrea Dunagan captured the Nebraska Women's Amateur Golf Association match-play championship at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln on Wednesday.

Dunagan, a junior-to-be from Grand Island, defeated Minden's Kristen Kosch 3 and 2.  Kosch was a two-time Class C state champion at Minden High School and won the junior match- and stroke-play crowns earlier this summer.

After losing the ninth hole, Dunagan reeled off wins on the 10th, 11th and 12th holes to take control of the match, and held off Kosch the rest of the way to capture her first state match-play title.

Dunagan defeated Tiffany Roubal of Lincoln, Krista Hrdlicka of Wahoo and former Husker Heidi Stark of Lincoln to reach the final.
