Landgraf Named to Academic All-District Team

Lincoln ? University of Nebraska gymnast Libby Landgraf was honored Thursday, earning a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District VII team.

The 10-member team encompasses winter- and spring-sport student-athletes. Landgraf, a native of Fort Collins, Colo., carries a 3.793 GPA in management and has a been an instrumental member of a Husker gymnastics program that won three Big 12 titles and made three NCAA Super Six appearances. As a senior, she earned first-team All-America honors on uneven bars and second-team honors on the vault, helping the Huskers to an NCAA Championship appearance. A six-time All-American at Nebraska, Landgraf was a two-time All-Big 12 competitor in 2004. She became the first collegiate woman to perform and execute a three-and-a-half twist in her floor exercise routine.

In the classroom, she was a three-time, first-team academic All-Big 12 honoree and was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for seven semesters. She now advances to the national ballot where she can be considered for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.
