2004-05 Men's Basketball Season Tickets Available at Great Prices

Husker men's basketball fans hungry to get the next season underway can start making plans for 2004-05 by purchasing new season tickets to home games beginning this weekend. Packages will be available to new season ticket holders for as low as $99 per seat for 19 exciting games.

Coming off a season with an 18-13 record and their first postseason berth in five years, the Husker men return a veteran lineup while adding one of the top recruiting classes in the nation for 2004-05. Fans who love the Huskers and men's college basketball can be there for every loose ball, defensive stand and game-winning shot for less than $10 per seat per game.

New season tickets are available to the general public, without a donation, for $99 per seat in the upper benches or $179 per seat in the reserved plastic chairbacks.

With 19 home contests (including exhibitions) in 2004-05, season tickets for the bench seats (rows 29 and higher) will have an average cost of just $5.21 per ticket per game. Reserved chairback (rows 19-28) season tickets will be available for an average of only $9.42 per seat per game. The cost per seat per game for upper benches is exactly the same as last season while the reserved chairbacks are $1.05 per seat per game lower than last year ($10.47).

Among the Huskers' opponents at the Devaney Center this season will be conference foes Texas, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa State, Kansas State, Colorado and Texas A&M. During the non-conference season, the Huskers will have nine home games including contests against in-state rival Creighton and Big Ten foe Minnesota.

Fans interested in becoming new season ticket holders can reserve their season tickets in the upper bench or reserved chairback areas with a $25 deposit and will be put on the preferred list for the best available season tickets in these areas in 2004-05. The deposit will be applied directly to the cost of the tickets and the remainder will be invoiced in August, 2004.

Basketball season ticket order forms will be available at the ticket sales pods surrounding Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 17, before the football team's annual Spring Game. New season tickets will also available for purchase by visiting Huskers.com or calling the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office at 800-8BIGRED.

Last year's season ticket holders will be sent their renewal application forms for their same seats this summer.
