Lincoln - "Are You N?" That's the question all Nebraskans will be asked when Boyd Epley and Tommie Frazier visit their city as part of the Husker Nation Blitz. The Blitz will take off from Lincoln on Monday, Nov. 17 and will hit 17 Nebraska cities and towns on Nov. 17, 18 and 21. Epley, Associate Athletic Director for Performance and Facility Development, and Frazier, Assistant Director of Development, will promote the Husker Nation Championship Drive on the three-day tour.
At each stop, the athletic department representatives will show a video that features the new athletic facilities and will be on hand to answer any questions that fans have about the fund-raising Drive or about the specific facilities.
Each meeting will be open to the public and will last approximately one hour. There is no charge to attend any of the functions, but there will be a buffet offered at the Norfolk lunch stop. Director of Development Paul Meyers is heading the fund-raising campaign.
"The Blitz tour gives us a unique opportunity to get out amongst Nebraskans," Meyers said, "and gives our Husker fans the opportunity to meet Tommie and to welcome him as our newest member of our athletic staff."
Epley heads the design team that includes Director of Facilities John Ingram and Catherine Wagner, University Facilities Management Project Manager. The RFP to hire an architectural firm has not been released at this time.
