Schrad Named to Academic All-District Team

Lincoln, Neb. -- Nebraska’s Anna Schrad was one of 12 student-athletes who earned a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District VII Team announced Thursday morning. Schrad, who earned second-team honors in 2002, was one of six players named to the 2003 first team. The six student-athletes selected to the first team will now move on to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.

A two-time Academic All-Big 12 pick, Schrad owns a 3.91 grade-point average in exercise science. She was one of two Big 12 players named to the first team, joining Kansas State’s Cari Jensen. The average GPA of the first team members was 3.914.

On the court, Schrad has helped the Huskers to a 23-3 overall record and a 14-2 conference mark. She has started 24 of Nebraska’s 26 games, averaging 3.05 kills per game and 0.66 blocks per game.
