Huskers Continue Preparations for Texas A&M Indoors
Lincoln -- The Nebraska football team practiced for one hour and 40 minutes inside Cook Pavilion on Thursday afternoon as the Huskers wrapped up the majority of its work in advance of Saturday's 11:40 a.m. game against Texas A&M at Memorial Stadium.

Coach Frank Solich said the Huskers have responded well this week following the disappointing 41-24 loss at Missouri last Saturday night.

"They showed they want to be a good football team through hard work and preparation this week," Solich said. "They want to play and perform well, so they prepared well."

Solich said that strong safety Philip Bland will not play in Saturday's game because of a foot injury that also kept him out of the previous two games.

Senior free safety Jerrell Pippens has been named Nebraska's special teams captain for Saturday's game with the Aggies. Pippens is the first Husker to receive the honor twice this season, as he also served in that role in the season opener against Oklahoma State.

Nebraska will complete its preparations for Saturday's contest with a short walk-thru practice on Friday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.
