Lincoln-The University of Nebraska football team worked out in half pads for nearly two hours Wednesday afternoon at Memorial Stadium, continuing preparations for Saturday's nationally televised game against Texas A&M.
Head Coach Frank Solich was pleased with Wednesday's workout.
"We moved around fairly well, although we're still sore with some of the guys who went into the last game banged up a little bit," Solich said. "Some of them are still sore, but they are giving great effort and I expect that they'll continue to get better as we go through the week."
Solich said the Huskers face a formidable threat this week in Texas A&M.
"We're preparing for a very good offensive football team," Solich said. "They have an offense that is pretty multiple. They do a lot as far as utilizing their quarterback and running backs, so there is an awful lot to stop there. I think our defense is working hard and gearing up to play an excellent football team."
The Huskers will wrap-up practice Thursday at 3:30 p.m. and will hold their walk-thru on Friday at 3:30 p.m. as well.
