Huskers to Host Annual ?Meet N Beat?

<?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Lincoln  --  Husker fans will get a chance to meet the soccer team and try their soccer skills against the team Wednesday night at the annual 'Meet N Beat' the Huskers.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

 

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Abbott Sports Complex, and the Huskers will run different stations for kids to learn new skills, including a juggling station, dribbling relays, penalty kicks against Nebraska goalkeepers, blocking shots against the automatic ball-machine, 2-on-2 heading games and 3-on-3 games against the Huskers.

 

The Huskers will hold an autograph session and children will receive free pizza and pop at the event.

 

Nebraska takes on Denver Friday at 7 p.m. at the Abbott Sports Complex in its final exhibition match before entering the regular season against DePaul on Aug. 29.
