Huskers Remain Third in National Polls

The Nebraska softball team remained third in both the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll released Tuesday, March 4, and the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Top 25 poll released Wednesday, March 5. The Huskers have spent three straight weeks at No. 3 in the NFCA poll, and they have been ranked third by USA Softball both weeks in which the poll has been released.

The Huskers (12-1) have defeated seven ranked teams this season en route to tying the program record for the best 13-game start in school history. NU, which is coming off a 1-0 victory over No. 12 Stanford Feb. 23, returns to action Friday, March 7, when it travels to Tallahasse, Fla., for the 2003 Seminole Invitational.
