Huskers Travel to Minneapolis For Invitational

The Nebraska swimming and diving team travels to Minneapolis this weekend to compete at the Minnesota Invitational.

The Huskers will look to improve upon an 11th-place finish at the meet last year, in which senior Susan Walker was the lone scorer for NU.

Nebraska will be one of nine Division I teams at the meet, which will also feature Minnesota, Notre Dame, Iowa, Iowa State, Air Force, Northern Michigan, Wisconsin and Miami of Ohio. The rest of the 16-team field is comprised of Division II and Division III schools, including North Dakota and St. Cloud State.

Competition begins Friday morning with preliminary heats starting at noon and finals beginning at 6 p.m. The schedule will remain the same for Saturday. Sunday, preliminary heats will begin at 10 a.m., and finals will start at 3 p.m. Diving events will begin at 1:30 p.m. all three days.
