Drummond Finishes Fourth at Big 12 Championships

College Station, Texas -- Jerilyn Drummond opened the 2002 Big 12 Championships with a fourth-place finish on the one-meter springboard Thursday night at the Student Rec Center Natatorium in College Station, Texas.

The sophomore from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, earned a 258.40 in the final round. She finished the preliminary round in second with a score of 262.15.

Other finishers for the Huskers included junior Jeni Fortino, who took 21st in the preliminary round (201.05) and freshman Jenni Larson who finished 27th (106.70).

The Big 12 Championships continue tomorrow with preliminary swimming heats starting at 10:30 a.m. and final heats starting at 6 p.m.
