Lincoln -- The University of Nebraska swimming and diving team will wrap up the regular season Friday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Pool when the Huskers take on Iowa State at 4 p.m.
Nebraska and Iowa State are meeting for the 25th time in school history. The Huskers have dominated their series with the Cyclones, holding a 22-2 edge.
Last season, the Huskers downed the cyclones 130-113 in Ames, Iowa, behind sophomore Jerilyn Drummond's wins on both the one- and the three-meter springboards.
Iowa State is coming off a loss to Missouri. The Tigers defeated the Cyclones, 167-133, last weekend in Ames.
The Cyclones are led this season by sophomore Petra Plaminkova. Against Missouri, Plaminkova swept the 100- (1:04.54) and 200-yard (2:17.51) breaststroke events. Plaminkova's time in the 100 is the third-best mark in that event this season in the Big 12.
Following the meet
with Iowa State, the Huskers are off until the Big 12 Championships,
scheduled for Feb. 20-23 in College Station, Texas.
