Third Annual Frank Solich Postgraduate Scholarship

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The third annual Frank Solich Postgraduate Scholarship Fund dinner and auction will be held in Denver the evening of May 23. The purpose is to raise money for annual scholarships to members of the football team who have completed their eligibility and undergraduate degree and wish to pursue a graduate degree in any field. The goal is to raise approximately $250,000 in order for the Fund to be self sustaining. To date the Fund is approaching $200,000. Contributions are fully tax deductible. Checks can be made out to the University of Nebraska Foundation and noted that it is for the Frank Solich Postgraduate Scholarship Fund. This year's winner is senior tight end Jake McKee of Goodland, Kan. McKee will receive $10,000 to pursue a law degree from UNL. Quarterback Monte Christo won the award in 1999.
