Lincoln -- Diandra Hyman, a junior-to-be for the Nebraska women's bowling team, won five gold medals and one bronze at the Lee Evans Tournament of the Americas in Miami, Fla., at the Cloverleaf Lanes on Saturday.
Hyman won the adult women's singles division with 2,533 total pins in 12 games. She joined Kelly Kulick, also from the United States, to win the adult women's doubles division with a 2,676 pinfall. In the adult mixed doubles division, Hyman combined with Bill Hoffman to bring home the bronze medal with a 2,452 pinfall.
Hyman, along with her TEAM USA, captured the gold in the adult mixed team event and the adult national overall event. Hyman received her fifth gold medal in the adult individual all-events division. She represented her country with 7,451 total points.
The Tournament of the Americas is the longest running international tournament, it has been in existence for 38 years bringing together the best bowlers from North and South America.
