Lincoln - The 73rd ranked Nebraska Women's tennis team will continue their current homestand this week when Southwest Missouri State and Wichita State come to town. The Huskers (4-1) will face Southwest Missouri State on Saturday, Feb. 26th at the Woods Tennis Center. Southwest Missouri State (1-1) opened it's season with a 9-0 loss to Kansas state but looks to be playing its best tennis of the year after defeating Missouri 9-0.
Sunday Nebraska will face Wichita State (0-3) who is coming off a 6-3 loss to nationally ranked Oklahoma. Nebraska's Sandra Noetzel and Katarina Balan will look to keep their undefeated seasons alive this weekend. Last week Noetzel returned from a groin injury to improve her record to 3-0 with a victory over Wyoming's Sarah Kay 6-3, 6-1. Balan also kept her undefeated season alive last weekend with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Shirley Mendoza of Wyoming. Katarina is currently 5-0 on the season.
