Stillwater, Okla. -- Brian Montonati had 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead five Cowboys in double figures as No. 8 Oklahoma State moved into a three-way tie for the Big 12 lead with a 94-55 win over Nebraska Saturday evening in Stillwater, Okla.
With the win, OSU improves to 21-3 on the season and 10-2 in the Big 12, moving into a three-way tie with Iowa State and Texas, while Nebraska dips to 10-15 overall and 3-9 in league play.
The Cowboys, who had lost four in a row to Nebraska at home entering tonight's game, used runs of 10-0 and 17-4 in the first half en route to building a 47-29 halftime lead.
Things snowballed against the Huskers early in the second half, as the Cowboys opened the second half with an 18-1 run, holding NU without a field goal for the first nine minutes until a Cary Cochran 3-pointer ended the drought.
Oklahoma State became only the third team to shoot 50 percent against Nebraska this season, connecting on 38-of-67 from the floor, including 11-of-21 from 3-point range.
Louis Truscott led Nebraska with 14 points off the bench, while Cochran added 12 points, on 4-of-7 from 3-point range, and three assists in the loss, NU's fifth in a row.
Glendon Alexander finished with 18 points, while Desmond Mason, Joe Adkins and Alex Webber each added 10 points for OSU, which has won seven of its last eight.
Nebraska returns to action next Wednesday to play host to No. 24 Kansas at 7:05 p.m.
