Noetzel and Verzi Earn First Team All-Big 12 Honors

Lincoln - Junior Sandra Noetzel and senior Dinko Verzi earned First Team All-Big 12 tennis honors, the league office announced Friday. A total of 27 singles players (13 men and 14 women) were named to the first team.

Noetzel, a member of Scott Jacobson's women's tennis squad, is currently ranked No. 71 in the ITA rankings and is a two-time All-Big 12 selection. The Hannover, Germany, native has compiled a 30-8 overall record and a 9-2 conference mark and earned Big 12 runner-up honors at No.1 singles. Noetzel was also named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team this season.

Verzi, a member of Kerry McDermott's men's tennis team, is ranked No. 98 in the latest ITA rankings and is also a two-time All-Big 12 selection. The Hamm, Germany, native compiled a 10-16 overall mark, but was 8-3 against regional competition.
