Pilakowski Slams 15 Kills to Lead NU to 3-0 Win at Texas Tech

Lubbock, Texas -- Laura Pilakowski pounded a match-high 15 kills to lead the No. 2 Nebraska volleyball team to a 30-12, 30-19, 30-25 win over Texas Tech at the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, Texas. The junior outside hitter committed one error on 25 attacks for a .560 hitting percentage while adding seven digs.

Senior right side hitter Nancy Metcalf totaled 15 kills for the Huskers, and junior setter Greichaly Cepero tallied 37 assists and seven digs. Defensively, senior middle blocker Jenny Kropp produced a match-high 11 blocks for NU as the Huskers out-blocked Texas Tech, 18-5. Nebraska also held the Red Raiders to a .000 hitting percentage.

With the victory, the Huskers improved to 17-1 overall and 10-0 in the Big 12 and extended their streak of consecutive wins to 15. Nebraska, which has won 45 of its last 46 games, also extended its streak of consecutive conference victories to 40.

Freshman outside hitter Kelly Johnson tallied seven kills for Texas Tech, which fell to 12-7 overall and 5-5 in the league.
