Minneapolis, Minn. - No. 16 Nebraska blitzed Minnesota for six runs in the first two innings and cruised to a 15-2 victory over the host Golden Gophers at the Dairy Queen Baseball Classic in front of 3,082 fans at the Metrodome Sunday afternoon.
The Huskers, who improved to 7-2 on the year with their fifth straight win, rolled through the three-day tournament, outscoring the Gophers, and nationally ranked Wake Forest and Notre Dame by a combined score of 28-3.
Senior center fielder Jeff Leise was named the tournament
